Q & A:

What is your favorite lacrosse moment?

Making the team at Penn State as a walk-on in 2001.

Who has been your biggest lacrosse mentor and why?

Colleen O’Hara, a player at Penn State who led the team in scoring for 3 consecutive years (2001-2003). She was also an IWLCA All-American in 2001 and 2003…I loved playing against her in practice, she constantly helped me get better at defense.

What comes to mind when you think of Ryan Powell & Rhino Lacrosse?

An opportunity to coach.

What do you look forward to the most about working with the Rhino players?

Helping young girls get better so that they can play in college.

Can you tell us what you currently do with yourself and what do you spend your time doing?

I play lacrosse for the Portland Women’s team, coach for Rhino, go surfing & hiking, and I’m looking for a job with state or federal government doing research on marine science.

If you had to come up with a goal for you and your lacrosse career, what would it be?

I’d like to go back to Vail next year for the shoot-out and win!

If you could invite 3 people to dinner (dead or alive) who would they be?

Jacques Cousteau, John F Kennedy, and Sylvia Earle.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise others?

I dipped peanut butter & jelly sandwiches in the sand and ate them when I was a kid…and loved it!
