Rhino Lacrosse is pleased to present the First Annual Rhino Lacrosse Goalie Clinic at Mary S. Young State Park in West Linn, Oregon. This clinic will take place for one day only from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Friday June 26th 2009 and will feature National Champion goaltenders John Galloway (Syracuse University’08,’09) and Ben Gaebel (SUNY Cortland ‘06, Suny Postdam Asst. Coach). The Goalie Clinic is open to both boys and girls grades 3rd-12th. The cost of the clinic is $60 total, unless you are signed up and are attending the Rhino Lacrosse Academy during the week of June 22nd- 25th. If this is the case, and you are attending the week long camp, your enrollment to the Friday June 26th Goalie Clinic will be free.
John and Ben will cover the following aspects of the goal tending position; positioning (from up top, wings and behind), techniques, defending shots on the run, one on one shots, effective communication, and drills to do in the off-season. All players will come away from the Rhino Lacrosse Summer Academy not only with a free t-shirt and 1-year subscription to Inside Lacrosse Magazine, but also the necessary tools to become a better goalie. Rhino will field a collection of shooters to aid Galloway and Gaebel at the 2009 Goalie Clinic. Notable shooters include: Ryan Powell, Alec Jernstedt, Pat Rogers, Katie Sheridan, Nate Fritts, and Jeff Garrett. All players will leave the clinic knowing all-important facets of the game from positioning and stick work to the tips, tricks and techniques of top-notch goalies. The Rhino Lacrosse Goalie Clinic is an exciting and rewarding experience for goalkeepers of all levels and abilities. Ryan and the Rhino Lacrosse staff are excited to see you on the field this summer in West Linn!
